Navigating different parenting styles when you and your partner disagree

Husband is quite strict — believes in discipline, no giving in to tantrums, limited screen time, early bedtime enforced. I'm more relaxed and responsive. On the surface we're parenting the same child but with completely different instincts and it's causing friction. Our toddler is already playing us against each other at 2.5 years old. How do you and your partner align on parenting style? Did you go to a parenting class together? Read the same book? Have a set day each week to talk about it without the kid around?
