When to Consult Your Paediatrician
If your baby is NOT doing any of the following, speak to your doctor - Early intervention is key:
- Does not bring objects to mouth
- Does not push down on legs when feet placed on firm surface
- Does not make vowel sounds ("ah", "eh", "oh")
- Not rolling in either direction by 5 months
Singapore-Specific Advice
The 4-month sleep regression is very common - Wakings increase suddenly as sleep cycles mature. This is normal development, not a feeding problem. Avoid starting solids early to "fix" sleep - It does not help and early introduction is not recommended before 6 months.
Vaccinations This Month
- 4 months: DTaP/IPV/Hib/HepB (3rd) · Rotavirus (3rd) · PCV13 (3rd)
Check the Immunization Tracker for the full Singapore NCIS schedule.
Remember: Every baby develops at their own pace. These milestones are general guides based on WHO standards. Always consult your paediatrician, polyclinic, or family doctor if you have any concerns about your baby's development.
