Community Guidelines
How we keep HeyBaby a safe, supportive space for every parent.
In the HeyBaby Community, we believe in free and open discussion on a wide variety of parenting topics. However, we remove content when it poses a personal threat to our members or otherwise contributes to a hostile environment that stifles parent-to-parent support and can threaten the health of our broader community. We do not tolerate racism, discrimination, or medical misinformation. The HeyBaby Community is for support and collaboration, not confrontation.
Every parent is unique
Every HeyBaby member has the right to share and celebrate their unique parenting journey. Our Community is a place of personal free expression, where we value an honest and supportive exchange of ideas and experiences. Whether you're trying to conceive, expecting, or raising teenagers — you belong here.
Responsibility starts with you
Please remember that everything you read in our Community comes from other members. Because our Community is large, HeyBaby does not monitor or verify the information posted by members. We rely on you to keep us informed of violations. The information posted in our groups — including advice and opinions related to medical matters — is the responsibility of the members who create the posts.
Always consult a qualified healthcare professional for medical concerns. Community posts are personal experiences and opinions, not medical advice.
10 rules to keep our Community safe
In order to keep this a safe place where differences in philosophies, beliefs, opinions, and parenting styles can coexist, please follow these rules:

No personal attacks.
Disagreements are fine; insults, name-calling, and targeted hostility toward another member are not. Challenge ideas, not people.

No racism or hate speech.
Content that demeans, stereotypes, or threatens any person based on race, ethnicity, religion, nationality, or similar characteristics will be removed immediately.

No attacks on sexual orientation or gender identity.
Every parent deserves respect regardless of who they are or how they identify.

No medical misinformation.
Do not spread false or dangerous health claims. Share your own experience, but do not present unverified claims as medical fact or discourage evidence-based care.

Do not deliberately disrupt the Community.
This includes flooding threads, derailing discussions, posting off-topic content to cause confusion, or any coordinated attempt to make the Community unusable for others.

No bullying or harassment.
Repeated targeting of an individual, intimidation, threats, or behaviour designed to make someone feel unsafe will result in an immediate ban.

No illegal activity.
Do not post content that promotes, facilitates, or constitutes illegal activity under Singapore law or any applicable jurisdiction.

No pornographic or sexually explicit materials.
This is a family-friendly community. Explicit images or descriptions of a sexual nature are strictly prohibited.

Don't solicit or reveal personal information or private content.
Do not ask for or share anyone's real name, address, phone number, photos, or any other identifying details without their explicit consent.

No soliciting, advertising, or marketing.
HeyBaby Community is not a marketplace. Selling, promoting, or linking to products, services, businesses, or social media accounts is not permitted except in any spaces expressly designated for that purpose.
Moderation & enforcement
HeyBaby reserves the right to remove any content we deem inappropriate for our platform — with or without warning. We reserve the right to ban any member at any time for any reason and have no obligation to delete content that you find personally objectionable unless it violates these guidelines. We reserve the right to modify these rules at any time.
By participating in our Community you are agreeing to abide by the spirit and letter of these guidelines and to submit to their interpretation and enforcement by our team.
Violations may result in: content removal, a temporary block from posting, a permanent ban from any or all areas of the Community, or closure of your membership.
How to appeal a moderation decision
To appeal a moderation-related decision, please contact us via the feedback form with your username, a link to the post or a screen capture, and an explanation of your reasoning. Messages containing profanity will result in the appeal being dismissed.
Reporting illegal content
We are committed to providing a safe and lawful online environment. If you encounter content that you believe is illegal — including but not limited to child exploitation material, fraud, cybercrime, or incitement of violence — please use the Report a Problem form or contact us directly. Illegal content refers to material that violates the laws of Singapore or any applicable jurisdiction.
In the case of an immediate threat or harm, please contact local law enforcement directly by calling 999.
A note on group-level rules: Individual group moderators may add supplemental rules within their group. Those rules do not override these Community Guidelines. HeyBaby staff will enforce the Community Guidelines above all else.
