Surviving the newborn phase on zero sleep — share your tips

Day 10. I haven't slept more than 2 hours in a row since delivery. I knew it would be hard but nothing prepares you for this. What actually helped you survive? My husband is back at work next week and I'm going to be alone all day with a newborn.

Sleep in two-hour shifts with your husband. Wake him for the 2am feed. It doesn't matter that he works — you both need to survive this.

This too shall pass. I know that sounds hollow at day 10 but it really does. Week 6 things improved, week 12 it was a different life.
