Emergency C-section at NUH — sharing my story

I planned a natural birth, took all the classes, wrote a birth plan. Then at 39 weeks my baby was in distress and I was in theatre within 45 minutes. It was terrifying in the moment but the NUH team were incredible. Recovery has been harder than I expected. Happy to answer questions for anyone who might face this.

Thank you for sharing this. I had an EMCS too and it took me a long time to process that my birth didn't go to plan. Your point about the NUH team is so true — they were calm and kind.
